< Try to love the questions themselves >

Personal work 🪺
Uncertainty makes me anxious.
In a world that moves faster and faster,
I find myself wanting immediate answers and results,
afraid of waiting and of making mistakes along the way.
For someone like me, Rilke’s words,
“Try to love the questions themselves,”
have been a source of comfort.
Reading his poetry, I find myself thinking
that perhaps life is like holding
a great egg within us,
never knowing what might be born from it.
Not breaking it open in impatience
just to find out what is inside,
nor giving up or throwing it away too soon
out of fear and uncertainty.
Today, too,
I try to live through this time
without an answer.
